Cuts a nice square
It's Sharp
Spare set of 4 chisels. 4 sizes 1/4"–1/2". High-carbon steel. Fits the Mortise Kit bracket. Square holes · clean corners.
Swap in a fresh set and keep the corners crisp instead of forcing a worn chisel through hardwood.
Leave one size set up in the bracket and the next one ready – no stopping to change bits mid-project.
A second set means two people can cut mortises at the same time.
Slide the auger through the hollow chisel and clamp both in the bracket on your drill.
Mark the mortise and clamp the workpiece firmly.
Press straight down with steady pressure – the auger lifts the chips out the side slot.
Overlap plunges to cut a long mortise, then square up the ends.
With the included bracket for straight, steady plunges.
Best results – steady, square and repeatable.
The chisels also fit dedicated mortisers.
Softwoods and hardwoods – take lighter passes in hardwood.
Slow, and hard to keep the walls straight and square.
Leaves rounded corners you still have to clean up by hand.
Square holes with clean corners in one plunge.
Mortise-and-tenon joints for tables, chairs and benches.
Strong, hidden joints without metal brackets.
Square slots for rails, latches and hardware.
Square pegs, slots and decorative cut-outs.
For the cleanest results use a drill stand or drill press and clamp the workpiece.

Square Hole Mortise Drill Kit bracket, drill stand, drill press or mortiser
4 × square chisel bits with matching augers (drill bracket not included)

Turned my standard drill press into a mortising machine for clean cabinet joints.
Use Case:I used this adapter set while building a custom set of oak kitchen cabinets and two matching end tables. I put it through a real world stress test by cutting thirty consecutive deep mortises in seasoned hardwood to see if the bits would overheat...

Amazing value, durable, and clean edges!

Doing an excellent job.
I've been using thisform some heavier mortising work. It's not often that 1" is needed, but when it is, these have been doing an excellent job.

I haven't put thus to the test just yet but I will tell you it's constructed very nicely. More to follow.
This drill bit work and did what I wanted it to do. Easy to use and I will need to order some smaller ones for a future project.
Great heavy duty! Perfect gift

There is a little bit of a learning curve based on the wood that you are using. I had never used these type of bits before, but I quickly realized that in order to effectively drill mortise/tenon joints without having to spend a ton of time chiselling, I could just measure and drill small pilot holes spaced just inside the span of each bit. Huuuge time saver! They are sharp and ready to work. Well oiled for storage (for the couple of sizes I haven't used and likely won't often). Amazing value for the set compared to others selling singles!!
Very good I will recommend to anyone

Use Case:I used this adapter set while building a custom set of oak kitchen cabinets and two matching end tables. I put it through a real world stress test by cutting thirty consecutive deep mortises in seasoned hardwood to see if the bits would overheat or drift.Pros and Cons:Cast components feel heavy and solid enough for professional shop use.Setup was intuitive and I had it aligned on my press in under five minutes.Cutting edges stayed sharp even after a full day of drilling through dense oak.Versatile enough for a beginner but precise enough for furniture grade work.Consideration: The set arrives in basic cardboard so you will need to find a dedicated drawer or build a rack since it lacks a storage case.Final Verdict:Best for DIY woodworkers who need repeatable square holes without the cost of a dedicated mortiser.
Bought items for improvement of woodworking projects, they work as they should
Mortising attachment adapter with a four-piece square hole drill bit set for drill presses and hand drills in woodworking projects. It is for making square holes without turning the shop into a full-time chisel rehab center. The adapter gives you a cleaner mortising workflow than trying to fake it by hand on every hole. Secure the setup well and cut progressively, because square hole work is unforgiving when the workpiece starts wandering.
perfect as ordered good quality
they work well but I found out that if you drill the first hole with the drill bit first and then add the square cutter it cuts easier tried to use both but it pushed very hard to get through what you're drilling
Good quality, will buy again
these are very good drill bits. cutting is very easy
